Bhaludin bin Saleh
Cikgu Bhaludin is the founder and principal instructor of PBK. He received his training from the Sultan Idris Teachers College (MPSI), BA Hons. Linguistics & Language Teaching from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He also holds a Masters of Malay Studies from University of Malaya (UM).
He has experience teaching Malay in several government schools for over 20 years. He has taught at SMK Tunku Abdul Rahman (STAR), Kuching Vocational School, SMK Stampin and Kolej Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Abdillah, Kuching, Sarawak. Additionally, he was the Examiner of Malay Language SPM for 8 years, as well as being appointed as head of the Sarawak state-level oral examiner in the early '90s.
Cikgu Bhaludin is the chairman and advisor of Pusat Bimbingan Karya Sdn. Bhd (PBK), Lot 2977, Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce, Kuching, Sarawak since 1993. He has been guiding pupils at the SPM level in Bahasa Malaysia paper 1 & 2 at PBK. He regularly conduct workshops and lectures on Bahasa Melayu SPM level and has written several guidebooks for Bahasa Melayu 1 & 2 SPM. Among the latest guidebooks he has published, is the "Panduan Menjawab Soalan Bahasa Melayu Kertas 1 & 2" (guide to answering Bahasa Melayu Papers 1 & 2 SPM ), "Koleksi Karangan Contoh Jilid 1" (Sample Essays Collection 1st Edition), and "Soalan-soalan Latihan Bahasa Melayu Kertas 1 SPM Jilid 2" (Practice questions for Bahasa Melayu Paper 1 2nd Edition).
He is currently writing a new guidebook for upcoming SPM examination. He is also planning to conduct Malay subject via online platform for all levels.He would like to take the opportunity to express his gratitude to parents, former pupils and students who are currently studying at PBK.

Breadth of Knowledge reading/Newspapers
Teaching and Learning process in PBK focus
a lot on newspaper reading as well as the bulletin prepared by PBK. The main idea is to expose students about the day to day news that happens in and out of the country. This is very important for the students as they require good knowledge and understanding of the news in order to write a good essay.
Use of Multimedia
Exam Preparation and Seminar
Every year, PBK will organise mock exams and seminar for UPSR, PT3 as well as SPM level. The mockk exam papers will be prepared by the expertise from West Malaysia which is appointed by PBK. Students answer scripts will be sent to west malaysia for marking by the examiners.
The seminars for UPSR, PT3 and SPM will also take place 3 to 4 weeks before the actual public exams
A number of our classrooms use projectors to provide access to modern learning techniques. Teachers use projectors during classes to bring our learning materials to life using various media sources to assist in this process.
Focussed teaching materials
Adhere to the standards of the Ministry of Education
Use of weekly materials- Article 1 and 2 via newspaper materials, proverb, essays, reviews, komsas, creative writings, newspaper reading, PBK in-house bulletin, Dewan Pelajar Magazine, Utusan online, Berita Harian online, Malaysiakini and so on.
Novel Reading Class and Exam Clinic
Closer to the public examinations, novel reading sessions will take place in order for students who have not yet mastered the required reading novels to understand them further. This is compulsory for students in public examinations.
Furthermore, the exam clinic is organised for students who need lots of practice and will be marked instantly by a trained teacher who is assigned on the day. Through these sessions, students will be given guidance and taught questions and answer techniques once it has been marked. This is done via one to one session.

History
PBK is a tuition centre established in 1987. This private education institution was officially registered in 1993 under the name of Pusat Bimbingan Karya Sdn. Bhd. Since then, we have educated thousands of students from schools around Kuching City, Sarawak, Malaysia. In the early stages, only students from Kuching High School, St. Teresa, St. Joseph and St. Mary were studying at PBK as Tsui Hua Lau building which was within the vicinity of these schools. In the beginning, PBK was only handled by its founder, Cikgu Bhaludin Bin Saleh. He focused on Form 4 and 5 students to prepare them for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination. In addition, we taught several groups of working adults at PBK to achieve credit in SPM Bahasa Malaysia paper.
A few years after establishing, PBK grew and demand from parents and students to hold a Malay language class at UPSR and PMR / PT3 levels. Teachers from schools around Kuching were chosen to teach Bahasa Melayu.
In 1994 PBK opened a second branch at Bormill Commercial Centre, Jalan Keretapi (now known as Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi Adruce) In this four storey building we provided 11 classrooms dedicated to teaching UPSR students, PMR, SPM and General Studies(STPM). At the time, we were only operating on weekends except for Cikgu Bhaludin's classes which were held every day. As demand from the local community increased, PBK expanded to another building nearby adding an additional six classrooms to accommodate the growing number of pupils. Eventually, PBK management decided to unite two PBK tuition centres into one at Bormill Commercial Center, Jalan Keretapi, Kuching, Sarawak.
In 2005, PBK moved to its current location and with additional space available, decided to merge both branches. The new venue provides service centres such as student registration and management counters, academic centres and more classrooms as well as a surau for the convenience of staff, teachers and students to perform prayers.
